The field hockey community is mourning the loss of Santosh Rewankar. As a proud and supportive father of Nity and Sanika Rewankar in their involvement in the sport of field hockey, Santosh was known and beloved by many in the field hockey community. Santosh's wife, Aparna, recalls that he taught his family to value the long-term bonds you make with others in the sport of field hockey, and that those connections become your extended family. Santosh's impact in the field hockey community reached beyond his children, as he was a memorable coach to many athletes. 

In remembrance of Santosh Rewankar, we are sharing photos of him with his family and with his extended field hockey family. Santosh’s family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Since in-person temple visits are currently limited to 50 people, a virtual prayer meet has been organized for those that wish to attend the Shanti Path and pay their last respects.
