On Wednesday September 23rd, 2020, Field Hockey Canada announced the 2020 Competition Development Cohort which includes five members of the Field Hockey Ontario community.

Field Hockey Canada "has committed to developing competent coaches that are NCCP trained and certified to support our domestic programs and athlete development at all levels. In order to support this, we are excited to have launched a new program to provide opportunity for high performance coaches to pursue their NCCP Competition Development Certification within a supported and scheduled cohort environment. The new Competition Development Cohort Program will offer a one-year certification path for coaches, which includes NCCP multisport training, FHC sport-specific workshop, mentorship through portfolio development and facilitation of on-field evaluation."

Thirteen coaches were accepted from nearly forty nominations from the coaches' PSO's to be part of the inaugural Competition Development Cohort.

The five members of FHO that were accepted into this year's cohort are:
Dani Husar - Ontario
Keegan Pereira - Ontario / Men's National Team
Margaret Pham - Ontario / Women's National Team
Rowan Harris - Ontario / Women's National Team
Vernon Grattan-King - Ontario

We wish these individuals all the best as they pursue their NCCP Competition Development Certification and further their coaching education.
