FHO Announces the Hiring of Three New Staff

Field Hockey Ontario is excited to announce the hiring of three new staff members. Laura Chang will be returning to FHO and has been hired through the Canada Summer Jobs Program as the Coordinator of Sport. Victoria Dewar and Derek Marshall are joining the FHO team and have been hired through the Summer Experience Program and will hold the roles of Social Media and Marketing Assistant and Administrative Assistant respectively.  

Laura Chang is the Coordinator of Sport for Field Hockey Ontario. Laura is currently a fourth-year student in the Sport Management program at Brock University and will be entering her last year in September. She is no stranger to FHO, as Laura was the Marketing and Events Intern last summer. This summer, Laura will be overseeing the High-Performance Team Ontario program, assisting with the planning and organization of the 2021 FHC National Championships, and assisting with the operations of the Grassroots program. Laura is looking forward to further activating sport through memorable experiences within the FHO community.

Victoria Dewar is a fourth-year student at Brock University studying Sport Management. Victoria has a variety of experience within the sport industry including working for the Toronto Blue Jays and Rogers Hometown Hockey. In addition, she has volunteered her time with the Brock Badgers Women's Hockey team and Golf Canada during the CP Women's Open. 

When Victoria is not working or studying, she enjoys spending her time dancing. Victoria grew up competing in Irish dance and has since learned a variety of styles and been a member of the Brock Dance competitive team. 

Victoria is joining Field Hockey Ontario as the organization's Social Media and Marketing Assistant. Welcome aboard, Victoria!

Derek Marshall is beginning a Master’s of Sport Management at the University of Windsor this Fall. Having grown up playing a variety of sports, Derek has been actively involved in sporting communities for as long as he can remember. 

When Derek is not working or studying, he can be found travelling. Derek prides himself on having travelled to 25 countries before the age of 25. He loves to seek diverse and exciting experiences in new places, and tell the stories after!

Derek is joining Field Hockey Ontario as the organization’s Administrative Assistant. Welcome aboard, Derek!
