FHO continues to assess the current status of the COVID-19 outbreak, taking guidance from the Government of Ontario and Public Health Ontario. The health and safety of our athletes, coaches, umpires, and families remains our top priority. We continue to work closely with our partners at Field Hockey Canada (FHC) and the Sport Medicine Advisory Committee to monitor and respond to the most recent updates.

At this time, FHO has made the decision to postpone or cancel all programming from Monday, April 6 to Sunday, May 31, 2020. The following programs have been postponed:

  • Provincial Level Umpire Course (Halton) - April 19

  • Community Level Coach Course (Waterloo) - April 19

  • Assessors Clinic (Oakville) - April 25

  • Tech Official Level 1 Course (Oakville) - April 26

The following programming from Monday, April 6 to Sunday, May 31, 2020 have been cancelled:

  • Team Ontario U18 Training Pods (Guelph/Mississauga and Kingston) - April 18

2020 FHC National Championships

Field Hockey Canada has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 National Championships with the hope of offering an alternate national competition opportunity later in the year.

While we at FHO are saddened to not be competing at this year's National Championships, we feel confident that FHC has made the best decision given our current environment, and appreciate their commitment to the safety of all involved. We look forward to the future and continue to work to serve and better our community.
