Given the recent announcement of the COVID-19 cases in Ontario, we would like to share an update from Field Hockey Ontario (FHO).

Firstly, we want to assure you that the health and safety of athletes, coaches, staff and family members remains a top priority for everyone at FHO. We continue to work closely with our partners at Field Hockey Canada (FHC) and the Sport Medicine Advisory Committee to monitor and respond.

Aligning with the Provincial Government, FHO will be postponing all activities starting Friday, March 13th until Sunday, April 5th, 2020.  The following programs will be impacted:

  • U18 Training Pods (Guelph, Mississauga, and Kingston) - March 21

  • Quest for Gold Athletic Testing (Kingston) - March 21

  • HIGH FIVE Sport Certification (Brampton) - March 22

  • FHC Community Coach Course (U18 Girls in Kingston) - March 27-29

  • U18 Team Ontario Day (Kingston) - March 28

  • FHC Community Umpire Course (Ottawa School Board) - April 4

  • U15 Training Pods (Guelph and Kingston) - April 4

We are taking news of COVID-19 very seriously and will continue to work with FHC and the Sport Medicine Advisory Committee on next steps.
