The FHO team had a blast at the tournament! It was great seeing the turnout and the community of women come together to play the sport that we all love. So if you want to stay active, it's never too late to start, become a member and join one of the senior leagues now!

Congratulations to Logan Mercier for the Wilma Major Award. This award is given to one volunteer from Springfield who has shown leadership in the League in the area of coaching, promotion of the spirit of play, development and volunteerism. The recipient Logan Mercier (Cambridge Storm), was given this award because, after two years without a team, Logan stepped up to take on the coaching of the Storm team. Logan met all the challenges with positive energy and encouragement, even when things were at their most challenging. She went out of her way to make sure the many new team members felt they were valued and integral to the team's success. Because of Logan's excellent leadership skills, everyone left games feeling good, win or lose. As the award winner, Logan chose the Rare Charitable Research Reserve, specifically the turtle nursery program, for the donation on her behalf.
